With four players, only three play each deal: the dealer sits out. The dealer gives the other three 7 cards each and 3 cards to the kitty (musik in Polish), and they play exactly as in the rules for 3 players. The deal passes on, so everyone sits out every fourth deal.
At a glance

- The dealer sits out — deals 7 cards each to the other three and 3 cards to the kitty.

Who sits out, who starts
The forced 100 always belongs to the player to the dealer’s left.
| Deal | Deals and sits out | Forced 100 |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ann | Ben |
| 2 | Ben | Cara |
| 3 | Cara | Dan |
| 4 | Dan | Ann |
Deal, bidding and play
Among the three players everything goes exactly as with three: bidding from 100, the kitty, passing one card each, 8 tricks, marriages and scoring after the deal.
Points for the player sitting out
The score sheet with four players
The sheet has four columns. In the row of a deal, the player sitting out has 0 or the points for a marriage from the kitty. An example of the first deal (Ann deals, Ben wins the bidding and makes 120):
| Deal | Ann | Ben | Cara | Dan |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | sits out (0) | +120 (plays) | 30 | 20 |
Scoring rules: scoring.
