This site gathers in one place the rules, variants, numbers and history of the card game Thousand — in English, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian.
Why this site exists
Knowledge about Thousand is scattered: a little on forums, in tournament rulebooks and in app descriptions. We want to have it in one place: the rules step by step, a comparison of the variants, curiosities based on exact probabilities, and history with the sources given. If you want to play, you will also find the game for your phone.
Where we get the rules
- Under every article there are the sources we used, with the date we checked them.
- We check the rules on the game engine and at the table.
- Where no source confirms an explanation, we mark it with a “Hypothesis” box.
- We describe variants — for example house rules and tournament rules — side by side, without pretending that one version is the only right one.
Privacy
The site has no ads. The server that sends the site may technically process the IP address when the page is displayed.
The Thousand (1000) game has a separate privacy policy: it says what the apps and the test version in the browser process.
